Catching oral cancer from a phone camera.
With AHNCF, a model trained on tens of thousands of intra-oral images flags pre-malignant lesions on a low-end Android, in dental camps where there is no oncologist for fifty kilometres.

Recognising mountain gorillas by face.
Research with GI-TOC and field biologists. The same face-recognition substrate that runs at airports, retrained on a population of fewer than 1,100 individuals.
Fingerprinting infants at birth.
An infant fingerprint is a tenth the size of an adult's, on skin that hasn't hardened. With KIET and ZKTeco, LENS built an optical pipeline that captures and matches infant prints.

MIDAS · reading a furnace floor.
JSW Steel asked: can a camera tell us a tyre is going to fail before it does? MIDAS reads billet, slag, conveyor and mould across visible and thermal, flagging anomalies before a metallurgist would.
